Get Moving!

Have you really lost it?! I don’t mean lost your mind but you mind/body. With the pandemic in place and people getting lost with themselves has caused much despair; people are becoming less aware of their health and dwelling on the “what am I gonna do now” attitude.

During this corona virus people are reading, just sitting around, online or other pass time distractions. Somehow they don’t see what’s happening to their health and they ignore it. By the time they realize what has happened to them physically it might come as shocking as to how they allowed themselves to get to that point of poor health and how they lost control.

Well the good news is that you are in control the second you recognize what has occurred which means you see the opportunity to begin your plan of action against the bulge. It doesn’t take much, just be vigilant ant be consistent in your effort to begin the process of taking off those few pounds you added.

I’m with you because I made a promise to myself at the offset of the pandemic that it’s easy to allow myself too many indulgences. So I made myself do a three and a half mile power walk four times a week. I also did a half hour moderately intensive workout twice a week. In the meantime since I’m quarantined I have the chance to cook and use better choices. Since March I lost three pounds and one inch in my waist.

Great personal trainer

What makes a great personal trainer? I think it is someone like Sam Lindsey who taught me that engaging your core is one of the most important things you can work on before working with weights or doing cardio. Sam has the best workout routines. Never, ever the same. Never, ever boring.

I started working with Sam when I was in my 60’s so I can personally state it is never too late to start a workout program. Consistency is the key. Sam has been my trainer for over 12 years and I never walked out of a training session with him thinking it was a waste of time.

I highly recommend Sam whether you hire him once a week or once a day, you will stand straighter, walk further, have more stamina and just feel and look better than you did.
