With this service I will check your body composition (body fat) weight, body circumference, as well as assess what your long term and short term goals are. At STL Fitness and Body MechanX we want you to always know that we have your interest at heart and want to make improvements in all areas.

Cardio equipment

There are many ways you can get an effective cardio workout. You can use the fresh air and go for a walk or run, treadmills, elliptical machine, Nu Step etc. Besides these you can use any of these methods and make it an interval training experience to make it as challenging as you want. The possibilities are endless.

Weight machines

When using the weight machines, it all begins with your posture. The way you sit or stand at any weight machine matters to the outcome of the results. There are two rules of thumb that I teach; they are you will be productive when you execute the exercise properly. Also, you will be less likely to injure yourself.

Personal trainer

Having a personal trainer used to be a luxury, as it still is. But if you don’t know how to begin a workout and you want to be productive this is the way to go. There are those who think having a PT is a life sentence to exercise, but when you talk with your prospective fitness trainer you have to inquire about his or her experience in the field. A personal trainer is just what it says; you have the undivided attention of your fitness coach who is supposed to listen to you so the two of you can figure out which direction you want to go.

I am presently training my clients in my home, at their home or a fitness center that allows independent contractors. I have many modalities that I use with my clients, from dumbbells to balance apparatuses. We will discuss your goals to properly address your fitness needs. Great personal trainer

What makes a great personal trainer? I think it is someone like Sam Lindsey who taught me that engaging your core is one of the most important things you can work on before working with weights or doing cardio. Sam has the best workout routines. Never, ever the same. Never, ever boring.

I started working with Sam when I was in my 60’s so I can personally state it is never too late to start a workout program. Consistency is the key. Sam has been my trainer for over 12 years and I never walked out of a training session with him thinking it was a waste of time.
